IBI Wins El Salvador Local Solutions Project

USAID El Salvador has awarded IBI a two year contract under for the El Salvador Local Solutions Project to help build the capacity and address the performance needs of target civil society organizations (CSOs). This project was awarded under USAID's Human and Institutional Capacity Development for non-Critical Priority Countries Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract. The Local Solutions Project will locally go by the name "Proyecto de USAID para el Fortalecimiento de Organizaciones Locales."

Working with CSOs falls within USAID's approach to sustainable development seeking to support long-term, locally designed solutions to El Salvador’s problems of poverty, corruption, gang violence, and migration. IBI will work with target CSOs on strategic planning, management practices, human resources, gender and social inclusion considerations, financial resources, service delivery, and procurement, through a combination of training and technical assistance services, in response to each organization’s specific needs. Also, the Local Solutions Project will seek to develop and strengthen the capacity of CSOs to network and engage with other partners in the areas of fundraising and alliance building, adaptive performance, external relations and sustainability. Activities will concentrate on building the knowledge and skills required to run an efficient, cost-effective, accountable, transparent, relevant, technically proficient, and self-sustaining organization, targeting both human and institutional capabilities. For more information on how to access IBI’s services, please contact Rebecca Lamberton, Director for Business Development at rlamberton@ibi-usa.com.
