IBI Leveraging Donor Collaboration for Good Governance in Armenia

On May 21 and 22, the USAID/Armenia Public Finance Management (PFM) Activity participated in a joint workshop in Dilijan, alongside the UNDP’s Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia Project (MAP) and counterparts from the Budget Office of Armenia’s National Assembly. Also present were members of parliamentary standing committees and their staff.

The workshop is an excellent example of successful collaboration between USAID, other donors, and the Armenian government. During the workshop, public financial management experts from both PFM and MAP shared insights on enhancing the government’s strategic planning and program budgeting framework, Armenia’s 2022 macroeconomic and fiscal developments, non-financial budget performance indicators, gender-sensitive budgeting, and Sustainable Development Goal financing.

IBI looks forward to continued collaboration with other stakeholders in order to share learning, leverage each other’s resources, and improve governance in Armenia.
