2016-2018

 

Under this USAID-funded activity, IBI supported the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service, as well as their regional and district offices around the country in building their capacity to manage funds. The activity had two primary objectives related: 

 

1. Funds provided by USAID to Ghanaian education organizations through direct and indirect agreements are utilized according to their stated purposes; and  

2. Recipients of USAID funds establish and maintain the necessary tools and systems to ensure fiscal transparency, demonstrating the ability to respond to audits. 

 

Ultimately this activity helped USAID increase its direct funding of local public education entities by improving their capacity to appropriately manage resources, with the goal of providing Ghanaian students with the best education possible.
