IBI Projects:
Sierra Leone—Western Peninsula Strategic Plan
Client: International Finance Corporation
Year Completed: 2007
IBI initiated a multi-sectoral development strategy for the Western Peninsula west of Freetown to ensure maximum synergies among various sectors as the region grows.
IBI worked with the World Bank’s Facility for Investment Climate Advisory Services (FIAS) to develop a strategy for transforming the economy of Sierra Leone’s Western Peninsula. Consulting with private and public sector stakeholders, IBI used geospatial analysis to develop an integrated regional development strategy and investment action plan. IBI’s approach involved an integrated holistic land, coastal, and marine planning process with policy and institutional reform recommendations.
