On the five-year EAGER/Trade cooperative agreement USAID funded demand-driven research and a network of researchers meeting annually. Researchers from African think tanks and US universities and consulting firms produced new insights on over a hundred themes of pressing interest to government and private-sector policy-makers. IBI edited a book on the highlights called Fixing African Economies: Policy Research for Development (Lynne Rienner, 2003).
